Dr. Peter C. Elarde, Jr. of Long Beach, NY. Age 80. Beloved husband of Virginia Elarde. Cherished father of Peter C. Elarde and Daniel C. Elarde. Adored grandfather of 8 grandchildren.

Peter loved the Catskills and Spruceton valley. So much of his free time was spent hunting, fishing, hiking, mowing fields, chopping wood, and enjoying the great outdoors. Upon hearing of his passing, one of his cousins came up with the idea of planting a tree in his memory. That inspiration led to this campaign to plant a grove of evergreen trees.
