George D. Fischetti

George D. Fischetti, age 70, of Calverton, NY, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Peconic Bay Medical Center, in Riverhead, NY. He was born in Brooklyn on May 11, 1945 to George F. Fischetti and Helen (Maffetone) Fischetti. He served in the U.S. Army on active duty from 1965 - 1968 during the Vietnam War, he was honorably discahrged in 1971 with the rank of SP5. He worked in New York City as a manager for Nortel Networks. He enjoyed golfing, traveling and spending time with his family. He is survived by his loving wife Grace Ann Fischetti (nee: Loporcaro), beloved sons Keith (Kimberly) and George (Deirdre) Fischetti and dear sister Barbara Volpe. Visitation for George is Sunday, March 6, 2016, 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm, at Tuthill - Mangano Funeral Home, 406 East Main St., Riverhead, NY 11901. Funeral service is Monday, March 7, 2016, 10:00 am at The Church of the Redeemer, 13225 Sound Ave, Mattituck, NY 11952. Interment to follow the service in Calverton National Cemetery with military honors.
