Helena Osher

Helena (Lee) Theresa Osher nee Harrington of Coram NY, former resident of East Meadow passed on August 3, 2022 surrounded by family. Lee was the loving wife of the late Samuel Osher for 54 years. She was born in Portlaw, Ireland on June 20, 1925 and was the daughter of the late Richard and Mary Harrington.
She is survived by her children: Saundra Osher, Beryl Hirsch, Steven (Gaby) Osher, Janet (Scott) Slote, Glenn (Bernarda) Osher, and Barbara (Tim) Stoessler. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Ginni (Willie) Lu, Mathey Crespo, Steven Slote ,Jason Slote, Robin Slote, Samantha Osher, Emily Osher, Joe Guidice, and Natalie (Chris) Guidice Chinchar. In Addition, she is survived by 5 great-grandchildren: Brandon Lu, Kiara Lu, Christopher Lee, Victoria Lee, and Jaden Lu, her sister Pat Lockett of Bristol, England, and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as her beloved caregiver and companion, Michelle Smith.
In addition to her spouse and parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Jack Harrington, Margaret Dunnet, Richard Harrington, and Billy Harrington and her son-in law Bob Hirsch.
Lee worked for almost 25 years at the Longwood Public Library before retiring at the age of 88. Above all, her main love of her life was her family, who she treasured and who treasured her.
