This past 12 months sorely tried Mercy’s stamina and strength, and she passed away, in peace, the morning of July 12, 2017, surrounded by her husband, Fred, and her children. Mercy was 80. She and Fred were married 59 years and they have 5 children, 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

A funeral mass will be held for Mercy on July 18, 2017 at 10:15 am at St. Cyril’s and Methodius RC, 125 Half Hollow Road, Deer Park, NY 11729.

We are asking those attending the funeral mass to write a memory of Mercy and drop it off in the baskets placed besides her picture at the church’s vestibule. We hope to pass on these memories to her great grandchildren, who are now too young to have known her as we do and, as well, to console us in moments when missing her is just too much to handle.
