Milan “Mel” Cop passed away at age 88 on December 19th 2022.Beloved husband of the late Margo. Cherished father of Karen and Linda (Tim). Adored grandfather to Tim (Krista) , Kirsten, Kevin, and Tyler. He was a proud Army Veteran and a retired New York City Police Officer. Mel was an avid sports fan, in his younger years he enjoyed playing minor league baseball for the St Louis Cardinals and basketball for the U.S. Army. He was a lifelong NY Yankee fan even though he spent many years working at Shea Stadium.
