Philip Joseph Calabrese

Calabrese, Philip Joseph, age 92, of Searingtown, NY passed away April 18th, 2020. Beloved husband of Nina (nee: Vecchiano) Calabrese for 69 years. Cherished father of Nancy (the Late Joseph) Cannella, Donna Calabrese, and Joanne Calabrese. Adored grandfather of 4 grandchildren and treasured great-grandfather of 1 great-grandchild. Philip is the oldest of 9 children and is survived by 2 brothers; George and Thomas, and 3 sisters; Nancy, Norma, and Marie.

Philip was a Veteran of the United States Marines Corps and served in World War II. Philip graduated Hofstra College in 1949 with his Bachelor of Science degree. He was a successful industrial builder on Long Island for over 60 years. Philip was an avid skier and golfer. He received gold, bronze, and silver medals in the Nastar races for downhill skiing. A private family funeral will take place at Saint Charles Cemetery in East Farmingdale, NY. Arrangements entrusted to Mangano Funeral Home, Inc. in Deer Park.
