Robert Taylor Garbarino

Robert Taylor Garbarino, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend passed away peacefully at his residence on June 15th, 2023. He was a proud Army veteran who served his country with honor from 1967-1969.

Robert was born in the Bronx, New York on August 28th, 1945 to parents Guido and Mary Garbarino. He grew up with his siblings Jane Manning, James, Jack, Guido, Richard, William and Thomas. His parents instilled hard work and a strong sense of family into Robert's life from an early age. These values became the cornerstone of his life's achievements.

Throughout Robert's life, he always put family first. He was married to Elizabeth for over 50 years and together they raised their two sons Andrew (Martha) Garbarino and Guy (Kristin) Garbarino. Robert’s love grew multifolds with the birth of his grandchildren Jack, Grace, Mia and Jay. His companion Antoinette Vacca was also a cherished person in Robert's life.

Robert's passing leaves behind immense grief in the hearts of everyone who knew him but his legacy will live on forever in our memories. His loved ones will cherish their countless happy moments spent with him throughout their lives.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home located at 406 E Main St, Riverhead NY on June 22nd from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM followed by a Graveside Service at Calverton National Cemetery located at 210 Princeton Boulevard Calverton NY at 1:30 PM on the same day.
