Alan P. Lanteri

Alan P. Lanteri, a beloved family man and cherished member of his community, passed away on January 19, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on May 4, 1945, in the Bronx, New York, to his parents Angelo and Phyllis Lanteri. Alan devoted his life to both his family and his work. From the early days on Wall Street at Smith Barney and later as a pizzeria restaurant owner.

Alan leaves behind his devoted wife, Dolores Lanteri. He enjoyed celebrating 60 years with Dee this past October. His legacy continues through their children: Nick Lanteri, Pete Lanteri and his fiancé Valerie, and Laurie Wolfe and her husband Glen. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: Nicholas, Joseph, Jack, Evelyn, Peter and Samantha, who will remember him fondly for his unwavering love and guidance. Alan is survived by his brothers, Gary Lanteri and his wife Joan, and Philip Lanteri, and was preceded in death by his brother, Arthur Lanteri.

Alan was known for his deep love for his family, especially his grandchildren, whom he adored more than anything. His presence was always filled with laughter and hilarious jokes, and he often shared meaningful stories from his life.

He was on American Bandstand and loved to dance, bowl and work on his cars. One of his favorite stories was about purchasing a Cadillac from Trump's father, Fred Trump! He also met many celebrities during his time at Bergdorf Goodman in NYC.

A proud American, Alan held a lively passion for the New York Yankees and was an avid supporter of the team throughout his life. Music played an important role for him as well, with Frank Sinatra being his favorite musician, whose timeless melodies often provided a soundtrack to family gatherings. He valued his record collection and listened to music every morning with his wife.

Alan loved time spent with his dear brothers and cousins. He cherished many of his aunts and uncles. Family gatherings always included his mom's lemon meringue pie and his wife's chocolate chip cookies, two of his favorite desserts! And he loved many happy moments around a card table with his incredible friends that were filled with laughter.

Alan P. Lanteri will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him. Take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace in heaven. His spirit and the memories he created will live on forever in the hearts of his family and friends.
