Alfred Panarese

Alfred Panarese, 85, of Deer Park, NY, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2025. Born on February 20, 1940, in Brooklyn, NY to his parents Alfonse and Margaret, Alfred lived a life defined by dedication, service, and love for his family. 

Alfred proudly served in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1957 to 1960. He went on to build a distinguished career with the Federal Aviation Administration as a Federal Air Marshal, marked by his unwavering dedication to the safety and security of American air travel. His work carried him across the world to Italy, Germany, Egypt, India, Japan, Guyana, the Philippines, several Olympic Games and beyond. His service not only showcased his skills and professionalism but also underscored his commitment to protecting the public.

Alfred was preceded in death by his first wife, Therese who passed away in 1981. In 1983, Alfred married Mary, with whom he shared a long and devoted marriage. He was a proud father to his daughters, Laura (Attilio) Castrogiovanni and Lisa (Scott) Hall. Alfred was incredibly proud of his five grandchildren: Alycia (Nicholas) Berzanskis, Melissa (Marcelino) Gonzalez, Kaity Hall, Jordan Hall and Christopher Hall. Alfred also very much enjoyed his step children: Kathy (Christopher) Morrison, Joseph Riccardo and Randi Riccardo. 

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Alfred's life and legacy during the visitation on December 7, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM at Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home, located at 1701 Deer Park Avenue, Deer Park, NY 11729. A Mass will be held in his honor on December 8, 2025, at Saints Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church, starting at 10:15 AM, located at 125 Half Hollow Road, Deer Park, NY 11729.

Alfred will be deeply missed, but his legacy of service, love, and kindness will live on in the hearts of his family and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
