Ann M. Ruck, born on February 13, 1934, in Scranton, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2025, in Ridge, New York. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving family, which includes her son Robert E. Ruck, her daughters Patricia Edwards and her husband Charles, Jacqueline (the late Robert) Goggin, Katherine Fisher and her husband Robert, Mary Catherines and her husband Thomas, and her son William (the late Dean Ehlers) Ruck. She was the beloved grandmother to 7 grandchildren: Raymond, Ryan, Lindsey, Scott, Stephanie, Gabriella, and Thomas; as well as her 12 great-grandchildren: Ty, Elle, Addeline, Rose, Paul, Gaelan, Gianni, Odin, Casey, Irelyn, and Rayne. Ann joins her beloved parents, Alfred and Laurene Jordan, her late husband Robert A., and her sister, Rita Donovan, in eternal rest. She will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family and her contributions to their lives, which will continue to resonate through their cherished memories.
Ann dedicated much of her professional life to serving as a secretary for Medibus in Medford, New York. Her work ethic and commitment made her a valued member of her community.
Visitation services will be held at Mangano Family Funeral Home of Middle Island, located at 640 Middle Country Rd, Middle Island, NY 11953. The first visitation will take place on Monday, September 15, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, followed by another session on Tuesday, September 16 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM, and again later that same day from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. A Mass celebrating Ann’s life will take place on September 17, 2025, at Saint Mark's R.C. Church, located at 105 Randall Rd, Shoreham, NY 11786, starting at 10:30 AM.
Ann M. Ruck’s gentle spirit and enduring legacy will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
