Anna Greco, a devoted matriarch, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026, at the age of 93. Born on January 10, 1932, in Brooklyn, New York to her parents Antonio and Asunta DeGioia. She was a cherished figure known for her kind and personable nature that left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
Throughout her life, Anna was dedicated to her craft as a seamstress, using her talents not only to support her family but also to create beautiful clothes and treasures for those around her. Her work showcased her creativity and passion, reflecting the care she put into every stitch. Education played an important role in Anna’s life, and she proudly earned her high school diploma. This foundation allowed her to pursue her career and provided her with the opportunity to enrich the lives of others through her work.
Anna was deeply devoted to her family, cherishing each moment spent with them. She is survived by her son, Vito Greco and Judy , and her daughter, Annette and her husband John Andersen, who carry on her legacy of love and devotion. She was a proud grandmother to Dana Marie and her husband Jason, and Christina Lynne and her husband Michael. Her legacy continues to thrive through her great-grandchildren: Oliva Rose, Jason Anthony, Dominic James, and Jordan Tyler. Survived by sister Mary Trozzo, as well as many nieces and nephews. Anna is now joined with siblings Nicoletta, Lucy, Delia, Anthony, Cosmo, and sister-in-law Angelina in eternal rest.
Anna was preceded in death by her loving husband, the late Vito Greco, who passed away in 2001. Together, they built a family rooted in love and togetherness, a testament to the bond they shared.
A visitation will be held at Mangano Funeral Home, 1701 Deer Park Avenue, Deer Park, NY on Thursday, January 8th, 2026 from 2-4:30 PM and again from 7-9:30 PM.
Anna Greco will be remembered not only for her contributions as a seamstress and her dedication to her family but also for the warmth and kindness she extended to everyone around her. Her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all those who loved her.
