Anna Rose Regan, a devoted mother, grandmother, and faithful servant of the Lord and her community, passed away on March 21, 2026, in West Islip, NY. Born on November 5, 1948, in Brooklyn, NY, Anna lived a life marked by dedication to her family, church, and the many lives she touched through her generous and caring spirit.
Anna was known for her unwavering devotion as a loving mother and grandmother, treasuring family above all else. Holidays held special significance for her, times when love and togetherness were paramount. Her kindness extended far beyond her household; she was generous to a fault and deeply faithful as a devout Catholic. Her joy in decorating and arranging flowers was a reflection of the beauty and care she brought to every aspect of her life.
Professionally, Anna worked as an administrative assistant for Holy Spirit R.C. Church in New Hyde Park, NY, where her dedication and warmth made a lasting impression. She was also profoundly active in her church community as a lector and eucharistic minister, roles through which she led numerous church ministries and enriched the spiritual lives of many. Additionally, she contributed as a religious Sunday school teacher, guiding and inspiring younger generations in their faith.
Anna is survived by her beloved children: Fr. David Regan, Marty Regan, and Deanna McGovern, who carry forward her legacy of love and faith. She also leaves behind her cherished granddaughter, Skylee Ing, who was a great source of joy in her later years. Anna was preceded in death by her devoted parents, Peter and Dorothy Sasuk, whose memory she honored throughout her life.
Family, friends, and members of the community gathered to celebrate Anna’s life with visitations held on March 24, 2026, at the Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home in Deer Park, NY. The visitation was held in two sessions from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM, allowing countless hearts to pay their respects. A Mass in her memory was graciously offered on March 25, 2026, beginning at 11:15 AM at Saints Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church in Deer Park, NY.
Anna Rose Regan’s life was a testament to loving service, faith, and family devotion. Her memory endures in the hearts of those who knew her and in the countless lives she touched through her commitment to her family and her church. Her gentle spirit and generous heart will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
