Anne Mennella, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2023. She was a remarkable woman whose love for her family knew no bounds. 

Born on March 26, 1954, in Brooklyn, NY, Anne was the cherished daughter of Carmine Borriello and Frances D'Alessandro. Throughout her life, she embodied the qualities of compassion, kindness, and selflessness that endeared her to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Anne's vibrant spirit and unwavering dedication were most evident in her role as a devoted wife to her loving husband Ciro Mennella. Together they shared a deep bond built on love and mutual respect. Their union served as an inspiration to many who witnessed their enduring commitment.

Her role as a mother brought immense joy and fulfillment to Anne's life. She leaves behind her adoring sons Anthony (Lisa) Mennella and Carmine Mennella and daughter Anne (Amedeo) Ali. To them, she was not only a parent but also a guiding light who instilled in them the values of compassion and perseverance.

With boundless pride and affection, Anne embraced her role as a grandmother to Olivia, Sofia, Anthony and Luca. She delighted in their company and relished every moment spent with them, imparting invaluable wisdom through shared experiences and stories.

Anne's warmth extended beyond her immediate family; she nurtured lifelong friendships that enriched her life immeasurably. Her genuine care for others made each person feel valued and heard in her presence.

In reflecting upon Anne's life journey, it becomes clear that family was at the core of everything she held dear. But beyond that foundation of love lay a woman with an adventurous spirit who found joy in simple pleasures. Whether it was tending to her garden or preparing delicious meals for her loved ones, Anne made every moment count.

In celebration of Anne's life and to honor her memory, visitation services will be held at the Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home on September 10, 2023. The first visitation will take place from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM, followed by another session from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM. On September 11, 2023, a Mass will be held at Saint Matthew in Dix Hills, NY, starting at 10:45 AM.

Anne Mennella's impact on the lives of those around her will forever remain. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and strength that will continue to inspire generations to come. She may be gone physically, but her spirit and the memories she created will live on eternally in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
