Anthony “Bob” Figaro, of Dix Hills New York, passed away September 14th, 2026 at the age of 63. Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, entrepreneur, musician, and friend whose larger-than-life personality touched countless people throughout his life.
Bob was the beloved husband of Paulette, and the devoted father of Julie, Michelle, Vincent, and Anthony. He was the proud grandfather of his new granddaughter, Meadow Lucia. Bob was also the cherished son of Maria and Tony, and loving brother of Maria and Christopher. He leaves behind a large and loving family, along with many close friends and loved ones whose lives were touched by his presence.
Bob's entrepreneurial spirit and determination were hallmarks of his life. He earned his bachelor's degree at St. John’s University, and always emphasized the importance of education to his children. He later founded National Lab Express, a medical courier service, which has helped countless lives throughout its years of operation and continues to serve a pivotal role in the community.
Later on, Bob established Figaro’s Wine and Liquor, another family business which continues to be a fixture in West Hempstead. Bob was an extremely hard worker who took deep pride in providing for the people he loved.
But beyond his businesses and accomplishments, Bob's greatest passions were his family and music. He was a talented musician who played several instruments including piano, harmonica, ukulele, guitar, drums, and more. Bob loved to sing, and played in many bands over the years. Bob recently published three albums: "Songs From the Wine Store" (2023), "Songs From The Living Night Sky" (2024), and "Facing The Music" (2025).
A lifelong Roman Catholic, Bob carried his faith and his love for his family to the end.
Bob leaves behind his wife Paulette, his children Julie, Michelle, Vincent, and Anthony, his granddaughter Meadow, his parents Maria and Tony, his siblings Maria and Christopher, as well as a large extended family and circle of friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Bob lived a life marked by hard work, ambition, generosity, family, music, and an extraordinary amount of personality. His absence leaves an enormous hole in the lives of those who loved him. While his family and friends mourn him, they will also celebrate the life he built, the people he loved, the businesses he created, the music he left behind, and the countless memories that will keep his spirit and legacy alive in their hearts forever.
The family welcomes those who wish to honor Bob’s memory to make a charitable contribution to the American Cancer Society.
