Antonette "Sue" Sganga

1928 — 2025

Deer Park, NY

Antonette "Sue" Sganga, a cherished homemaker and beloved matriarch, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2025, in Deer Park, NY. She was born on September 19, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY, and her life was a beautiful tapestry of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family.

Sue was the proud mother of three daughters, Janet Mularkey, Barbara Kenney, Susan Sganga, and two sons, Anthony Sganga and Edward Sganga. Each of her children carried with them not only her love but the lessons of compassion and resilience she instilled in them. She welcomed her sons-in-law, Kevin Mularkey and the late John Kenney, and her daughters-in-law, Lisa and Debra, into her heart with open arms, treating them as her own.

In addition to her adoring children, Sue’s legacy is carried forward by her grandchildren who brought immeasurable joy to her later years. Sean Patrick, Anthony Alton, Alexander Gerard, Edward Anthony, Everett Joseph, and Maximilian Antony filled her days with laughter, while her grand-daughter, Emily Elizabeth, brought sparkle and light into her life. Each moment spent with them was a treasured memory, and she adored watching them grow and thrive.

Sue was predeceased by her loving husband, Anthony Edward Sganga, who was the love of her life and her steadfast partner. Together, they built a beautiful family foundation, one that continues to resonate through the love shared among those left behind. She also joins her parents, Pasquale and Carmela Palumbo, in eternal rest, where she will be united with all who knew and loved her.
