Barbara C. Bierman, a cherished soul known for her sweetness, passed away on May 17, 2026. Born on January 18, 1942, in Brooklyn, New York to her parents Frank and Irene Cegelski. Barbara lived a life marked by love, dedication, and warmth. She was a devoted grandmother whose passion for crafting and cooking touched the hearts of all who knew her, leaving behind treasured memories that will forever echo in the lives of her loved ones.
Barbara’s journey took her from her beginnings in Brooklyn to a long career on the assembly line for Estee Lauder, where her diligence and spirit were evident in all she undertook. Educated with a high school diploma, she embraced life with a humble grace and a generous heart.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Maxine and her husband Peter DeRiggi, and Antoinette Bierman, who carry forward her legacy of love and perseverance. Her grandchildren—Samantha, Melissa, Caitlyn, Breanna, and Raymond (known affectionately as RJ)—were the light of her later years and the recipients of countless stories, handmade crafts, and home-cooked meals made with boundless affection.
Barbara’s family also holds her memory close alongside those who have gone before her: her beloved husband, the late Raymond Bierman; her son, the late David Bierman; and her parents, the late Frank and Irene. Though separated by time and space, their presence remains a comforting thread woven into the fabric of her life’s story.
