Barbara Jean Guerin

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Jean Guerin of Riverhead, New York on February 2, 2026 at the age of 89. Barbara was born in Queens County, New York on November 6, 1936.

Barbara was a loving mother to her two sons, James Foley, of Riverhead, NY and Michael Foley, of Patchogue, NY as well as her daughter in law, Erin Foley.

Barbara was also a very proud grandmother to her three grandchildren, Allison Foley, Ryan Foley, and Jenna Florio as well as her three great grandchildren, Dylan Foley, Madison Foley, and Finn Foley.

Barbara is also survived by her brother, Robert Guerin and his wife Diane, of Ronkonkoma, NY as well as many loving nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

She is predeceased by her parents, Catherine and Robert Guerin, her sister, June Najdek and her brother, Charlie Guerin.

Barbara had a love for gardening, cooking, politics and playing her piano. Above all, her greatest love was spending time with her family and sharing stories from the past.

Barbara was a bright light to all who knew her. She will be remembered for her kindness, love, and generosity.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home, 406 East Main Street, Riverhead, NY. A Prayer Service will be held 9:30 am Thursday, February 5, 2026, at Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home.  A burial will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Pinelawn, NY.
