Barbara J. Valardo

Barbara J. Valardo, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, passed away on March 30, 2026. Born on May 15, 1941, in Nyack, New York to her parents Kermit and Ida. Barbara lived a full life marked by love and dedication to her family.

Barbara is survived by her daughters, Marlene Valardo, Nancy and Ellen O'Malley, and Ellen and Dan Moruzzi. She was a loving grandmother to Ashley, Alyson, Danielle, and Matthew, whose lives she touched deeply. Her great-grandchildren, Anthony, Lily, and James, were a source of joy and pride to her. Barbara also leaves behind her brother, Rusty, and her sister, Linda, who shared many years of memories with her. Barbara is predeceased by her husband Victor Valardo.

Friends and family will gather to honor Barbara's life with a visitation held at Mangano Family Funeral Home, Inc., located at 1701 Deer Park Ave., Deer Park, NY 11729, on Monday, April 6, 2026, from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Following this, a Mass in celebration of Barbara’s life will be conducted at Saints Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church at 125 Half Hollow Rd., Deer Park, NY 11729, on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, beginning at 11:15 AM, concluding around 12:15 PM.

Barbara’s kind spirit and loving nature will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her family takes comfort in the memories they shared and the legacy of love she leaves behind.
