Bruna Muraca, a devoted para professional for the William Floyd School District and a cherished member of her community, passed away on June 27, 2025, at the age of 75 in Wilmington, North Carolina. Born on April 4, 1950, in Manhattan, New York, Bruna was known for her kind and caring spirit, which touched the lives of all who knew her.
Bruna dedicated her life to education, working tirelessly to support students and their families in her role at the William Floyd School District. Her commitment to nurturing young minds was evident in all her endeavors. She possessed a warmth that made everyone feel valued, and her impact reached far beyond the classroom.
She is survived by her beloved family, including her sons, Anthony, and his wife, Elizabeth, and John Muraca. Bruna was also a proud grandparent to her granddaughter, Hailey. She leaves behind her siblings, Joseph Scannapieco, Carmine Scannapieco, and Pam Triesch, with whom she shared a special bond.
Bruna's legacy of love and family will continue to be honored by those she left behind. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who were greatly influenced by her kindness.
A visitation for Bruna will be held on July 7, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Mangano Family Funeral Home of Middle Island, located at 640 Middle Country Rd, Middle Island, NY 11953. A Mass of Christian burial will take place on July 8, 2025, at the Church of St. Rosalie in Hampton Bays, starting at 10:30 AM. She will be laid to rest on the same day at Saint Charles Cemetery in East Farmingdale, following the Mass at 12:15 PM.
Bruna Muraca will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will remain in the lives of everyone she has touched.
