Carmine E. Soldano, a beloved husband, father, and community figure, passed away on June 24, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer, which was linked to the events of September 11, 2001. He was born on May 19, 1962, in Brooklyn, New York, to his parents Frank and Anita. His life was a tapestry woven with love, dedication, and an unwavering spirit.
Carmine dedicated much of his professional life to serving as a Deputy Inspector for the Nassau County Police Department (NCPD). His commitment to justice and community was profound, and he took great pride in his work. He was also an ardent member of various organizations and held numerous board positions, including the Sons and Daughters of Italy - Brumidi Lodge, Our Lady of Lourdes - Knights of Columbus, and the NCPD Holy Name and Columbia Association. Through these affiliations, he not only served but also fostered connections that enriched his community.
An engaging personality, Carmine was known to many as a huge fan of Disney, always ready with a smile and a story about his favorite characters. His love for Woodloch Pines in Pennsylvania reflected his zest for life and appreciation of nature. He had a remarkable knack for handiwork, often lending his skills to friends and family. Additionally, his passion for trains was something that brought him endless joy, and he cherished the moments spent with loved ones, sharing this hobby.
Above all, Carmine's heart was devoted to his family. He leaves behind his loving wife, Susan Soldano, and his proud children: sons Carmine A.K.A. CJ Soldano and Michael Soldano, along with daughter Alyssa Soldano Connolly and her husband, Ken Connolly. He adored his grandchildren, Roselle and Carmine, affectionately known to them as "Pop Pop", who were the light of his life.
Carmine is remembered as a compassionate and community-oriented man, whose kindness and warmth touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by his father, Frank Soldano, and is survived by his mother, Anita Soldano, who will carry on his legacy of love and strength, and his brothers Frank (Tara) and Louis (Kim).
As we gather to celebrate Carmine's life, we invite all who knew him to join us for visitations at the Mangano Family Funeral Home in Deer Park on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 from 7 PM to 9:30 PM and Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 2 PM to 4:30 PM and 7 PM to 9:30 PM. Though Carmine has left this earthly realm, his spirit will forever remain with us, resonating through the stories we share and the memories we've created. His love will continue to guide us as we navigate life without his presence. He will be profoundly missed, yet cherished always.
