Carolyn Howley

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Carolyn Howley, a cherished member of the Middle Island community, who left this world on August 13, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on October 4, 1940, in Middle Island, NY, Carolyn lived a life rich in love and devoted to her family.

Carolyn is survived by her loving sons, Brendan Howley and Sean Howley, and her beloved daughter, Bernadette Howley. Her legacy continues to thrive through her three grandchildren: Alyssa ("Skyy"), Alyanna, and Gracelyn and two great-grandchildren: Kindred and Keeva, each of whom brought immense joy to her life. Carolyn's warmth, kindness, and unwavering support will be profoundly missed by her family and friends.  She was preceded in death by her cherished husband, Michael John Howley, as well as her dear parents, Theodore and Gloria Swezey. Carolyn's enduring love for her family and her strong bonds with them stood as a testament to her values and the life she treasured.

Friends and family are invited to honor Carolyn's memory at visitation services to be held on August 22, 2025, at Mangano Family Funeral Home of Middle Island. The first session will be from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM, followed by another visitation from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. 

Carolyn Howley's legacy is etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her spirit will continue to shine brightly through the lives she touched with her love and compassion.
