Charles George Nicholsen, Sr., born on July 12, 1965 in Queens, New York to Charles and Frances. He passed away on May 30, 2023, leaving his loved ones in grief. Charles was a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed.
Charles had a successful career as an H.V.A.C. Mechanic at O.S.I. in Oceanside, New York. His exceptional skills and hard work earned him the respect of his colleagues and superiors. He graduated from high school and pursued his passion for mechanics.
Charles was known for his sense of humor and easy-going nature. He had a way of making everyone around him feel good with his jokes and friendly demeanor. His personality endeared him to many, which earned him numerous friends.
A respectful visitation will be held on June 3rd from 2:00 PM - 4:30 PM followed by another visitation from 7:00 PM - 9:30 PM at Deer Park- Mangano Family Funeral Home located at 1701 Deer Pk Ave, Deer Park, NY-11729 to honor Charles' memory.
Charles is survived by his loving wife Sharon Nicholsen (Nee: Johannesen); eight children Jeannie (Ricky) Rodriguez, Charles George Nicholsen (Sandra) Jr., Peter Nicholsen, Matthew Nicholsen, Jayden Nicholsen, Brian Nicholsen, William Nicholsen and Jessica Nicholsen; four grandchildren Jayson, Savannah, Robert John, and Charles George Nicholsen III; five siblings Marie Winter, Frances (Alphonse) Morbillo, Debbie (Rob) Iraggi, Scott (Camille) Nicholsen and Stacy (Keith) McCarthy.
Charles was a devoted husband who loved his wife Sharon deeply. He cherished his time with her and created many lifelong memories together that she will hold dear forever.
He was a loving father whose love knew no bounds for his children. He took great pride in watching them grow up into the remarkable individuals they are today; his legacy lives on through them.
Charles' life was a beautiful journey, and though his passing has left us with immense sadness, we find comfort in the memories he created with his family and friends. Charles will forever remain in our hearts and memories. May his soul rest in peace.
