It is with deep respect and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Craig L. Wagner, who departed this life on August 4, 2026, in Brooklyn, NY. Born on December 23, 1954, in Huntington, NY, Craig’s journey was one marked by devotion to his family and country, and a profound sense of loyalty and care for those he loved.
A proud Air Force Veteran, Craig served with honor and valor during his formative years. As a professional Archer for Smiths Point Archery in Patchogue, NY, he instilled many new generations with the love of the sport for many years.
He will be deeply missed by his beloved daughter, Christina Wagner, who brought joy and pride into his life. Craig’s legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren—Michael, Bryce, Cora, and John Charles—each a testament to the kindness and love that he so generously shared. He is also survived by his brother, James (Pam) Wagner, who he shared a lifelong love together of baseball and the Mets; sister, Janice Frischberg, whose relationship was a source of lifelong companionship and mutual support; his nephews—Michael, Brian, Patrick, and James, as well as many cousins. Craig was preceded in death by his father, James Wagner, his mother, Janet Wagner, and his beloved daughter, Heather.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during visitation hours on Monday, August 10, 2026, at Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home, located at 406 E Main St, Riverhead, NY 11901. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM and again from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM.
Craig L. Wagner’s legacy is one of love and unwavering commitment to those dearest to him. He leaves behind a family bound by his memory and countless friends who were enriched by his friendship. May his memory remain a guiding light to all who knew and loved him.
