Daniel Michael Bivona

Daniel Michael Bivona, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on July 15, 2023, at the age of 81. He was born on November 3, 1941, in Brooklyn, New York. Daniel was a kind and caring man who will be deeply missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. His warm heart and gentle nature touched the lives of many throughout his lifetime.

Daniel is survived by his loving spouse, Barbara Bivona, who stood by his side through thick and thin. Together, they created a beautiful life filled with joy and cherished memories. He was also a devoted father to his children Cathy Ann Sprizzo and Daniel Bivona Jr., whom he loved unconditionally. Daniel's role as a father brought him immense pride and joy.  Daniel also leaves behind his two sisters, Catherine and Mariann and granddaughter, Laura Elizabeth Sprizzo. The love that he had for her knew no bounds. Daniel was an avid NY Rangers fan who also played the sport he loved.  After his retirement from the NYC Department of Sanitation, Daniel regularly coached and was beloved by his students and their parents alike.  When not coaching, he could be found playing on the men's team the Pops at the Dix Hills skating rink.  

Visitation services for Daniel will be held on July 23, 2023, at Deer Park- Mangano Family Funeral Home, located at 1701 Deer Pk Ave, Deer Park, NY 11729. The visitation will take place from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. It will be an opportunity for friends and loved ones to pay their respects and celebrate the beautiful life of Daniel Bivona.
