Darlene Adamo

Darlene Adamo (née Brender) of Deer Park, NY left this Earth on Sunday, March 28, 2021.
Darlene was born on July 8, 1946 in Manhattan, NY, and raised in Brooklyn and Queens. She
later moved to Long Island in her 20s.
A graduate of St. John’s University, Darlene worked as a medical technologist; music educator;
and clerk at Town Hall in Lindenhurst.
A lifelong Christian and musician, Darlene was a passionate pianist, organist, singer, choir
director, or guitarist in every church she attended. She later found much joy in traveling with
her beloved husband of 30 years, Louis Adamo, and in caring for their rascally cats.
Darlene loved Old West tv shows, Italian and Puerto Rican food, and peppering her speech with
phrases like “sock it to me,” “triple goodie,” and “nertz to you.”
Darlene is survived by her husband, one sister, two children, six grandchildren, and her
husband’s family, the Adamos, who loved her as one of their own
