David Haedrich

June 3, 1963 — December 27, 2025

West Islip, NY

David Haedrich, born on June 3, 1963, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2025. He was a dedicated entrepreneur, best known for founding his own sticker and label business, Sticker.com, in 2002. David's business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit were remarkable, and he instilled these values in his children, who plan to honor his legacy by continuing to operate the family venture.

David graduated from The Waldorf School of Garden City in 1981, which set the stage for a lifetime of hard work, curiosity, and passion. From an early age, he demonstrated a strong affinity for farming, a connection that remained with him throughout his life. His love for the land grew from summer days spent working on his mother's family's farm in Iowa, where he developed the work ethic that would define him.

Those who knew David will remember him as a happy, fun, and generous soul. His ability to see the bright side of every situation created a positive atmosphere wherever he went. David had a unique talent for bringing joy to those around him—whether building sandcastles and digging giant moats with his children on the beach at Fire Island, or skimming across the Great South Bay with friends on his boats and jet skis.

He was well-regarded in his community for his kindness and willingness to lend a hand. Beyond his love of the outdoors, David took particular pride in his automotive expertise, which began during his childhood near the Aurora slot car factory. This passion followed him into adulthood and culminated in a fruitful collaboration with his youngest daughter, Emma. Together, they ventured into the slot car hobby, launching their own business, Super Dave's Slot Cars, where they became recognized throughout the community as a powerhouse of expertise and enthusiasm.

David is survived by his beloved children Mary, Robert, and Emma, as well as his brother Robert. His legacy of hard work, joy, and integrity will forever resonate through the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

A memorial gathering will be held on January 3, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home in Deer Park, NY, followed by a prayer service starting at 5:30 PM. The family invites all who knew David to come together to celebrate his life and share fond memories.

Here is an excerpt from his high school yearbook:

David's main interests are farming and cars. In Glenbrook, his love of farming and hard work shines the most. He seems more at home there than anyone else in the class, and does twice as much work. In the morning, he is one of the first ones up to work at Kenny's farm. David is probably one of the physically strongest in the class, yet he never tries to bully or really hurt anyone. He loves cars and is always busy working on one, either his or someone else's. His love and knowledge of cars is well respected. Nothing lights up his face more than to see a beautiful, well-tuned car. David is sometimes busy working and making money, yet at the same time he is always willing to volunteer and help someone out. His qualities of friendliness, hard work, and generosity make him a great asset to the class.
