Deborah J. Wreckter

Deborah J. Wreckter, a cherished mother, devoted wife, and loving grandmother, passed away on May 15, 2026. Born on October 8, 1953, in Brooklyn, New York to her parents William and Pauline. Deborah lived a life filled with love and warmth that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Throughout her years, Deborah embraced life with a generous spirit and an ever-present smile. She was a proud graduate with a high school diploma, and her passions were as vibrant as her personality. Deborah LOVED her grandchildren with boundless affection, always finding joy in their company. She found special pleasure in simple delights such as indulging in Starbucks and visiting Atlantic City, where she enjoyed moments of relaxation and happiness.

Deborah is survived by her devoted husband, George A. K. A Scott Wreckter, and her children: Lauren Wreckter, Nicole Ramos, William Turano, and Paul Turano. Her legacy also continues through her beloved grandchildren: Antonio, Austin, Angelo, Dante, Paulina, Luca, Melania, and William, each of whom held a deep place in her heart.

Family and friends will gather to honor Deborah’s memory and celebrate her life at Mangano Family Funeral Home, located at 1701 Deer Pk Ave, Deer Park, NY 11729. The visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM, with a second visitation in the evening from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. A prayer service will take place later that evening at 8:15 PM.

Deborah’s life was a testament to the beauty of love and the strength found in family ties. Her kindness, laughter, and unwavering devotion will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
