Dorothea Brunie, born February 9, 1939 in New York City, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2026 surrounded by her children.

A devoted mother and grandmother, Dorothea was truly the best anyone could have asked for. She was deeply adored by her children, and her smile and laughter lit up every room.

She consistently demonstrated quiet strength and remarkable resilience. She rarely complained, meeting each day with courage and grace.

Dorothea was predeceased by her parents William and Christine, and her beloved sister, Ann Gasparek.

She is survived by her children, Richard, Christine, Denise Razukiewicz (Michael), and Robert Brunie; their father Richard Brunie and her cherished grandchildren, Danielle, Raymond, and Riley Razukiewicz. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A visitation will be held at Mangano Funeral Home, 1701 Deer Park Ave., Deer Park, NY on Sunday, March 22, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral mass will be held the following day on Monday, March 23 at 11:15 AM at Saint Joseph's R.C. Church, 39 N. Carll Ave., Babylon, NY 11702.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
