Dorothy Frandolig

March 2, 1922 — February 27, 2022

On Sunday, February 27, 2022, Dorothy Frandolig, beloved wife of 40 years to the late Luciano “Louis”, adored mother of Dorothy Grella, Robert Frandolig, John (Mary) Frandolig, Ann (Nicholas) Pisculli and Thomas Frandolig, passed away at the age of 99 in Dix Hills.
Dorothy was born in Brooklyn, NY on March 2, 1922 to James and Wilhelmina Coppersmith.
She was the fourth eldest of nine children whom she helped raise. She is survived by her sister, Julie Weinbel.
Family meant the world to Dorothy “Granny” as she was affectionately called. She cherished her grandchildren, James, Jennifer, Stephanie, Louis, Jennifer, Christopher, Jonathan, John and Jaclyn, and her great grandchildren Caleb and Aidan.
Dorothy was full of life and had a wonderful sense of humor. She loved to entertain those around her with her unique jokes, songs and silly faces. When Dorothy wasn’t sitting outside in the sun or cuddling with one of the many dogs around her, she could be found at the kitchen table playing dominos or enjoying a hot dog and beer.
Memories of Dorothy will live on in the hearts of everyone she interacted with. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.
