Dorothy E. Okray

Dorothy E. Okray, lovingly known as Dorothy, passed away on June 7, 2023, at JT Mather Memorial Hospital.  She was born on April 28, 1935, in Brooklyn to her parents.

Dorothy will be deeply missed by her husband of 65 years, Eugene Okray. Together they shared a lifetime of love and happy memories. She leaves behind her children Valerie Fitzgerald (Thomas), Susan Scalise (Chris), Kenneth Okray (Nita) and Robert Okray (Sandra), and her grandchildren Brandon, Gavin, Stephanie, Sidney and Alex. 

Dorothy's kindness and generosity earned her so much respect that the number of friends she left behind is uncountable. Her qualities were recognized by all who knew her.

The visitation will be held on June 12 from 2 PM - 4:30 PM & 7 PM - 9:30 PM at Mangano Family Funeral Home Of Middle Island located at 640 Middle Country Rd. in Middle Island. A mass will follow the next day, June 13 starting at 10 AM-11 AM at St. Frances Cabrini R.C Church located at 134 Middle Country Road in Coram followed by burial services at Calverton National Cemetery located at 210 Princeton Boulevard in Calverton from 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM.

Dorothy's life was a blessing to those who had the privilege to know her. She will be missed dearly but forever remembered for her kindness and selflessness towards others. May fond memories of Dorothy bring comfort to her family and friends during this difficult time.
