Dorothy M. Rogers, born on June 24, 1933, in Riverhead, New York, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2026, in South Carolina at the age of 93. Her long and admirable life was one marked by dedication to family, warmth of spirit, and enduring love.
She is fondly remembered by her son, William Rogers, and her daughter, Debra Oberhausen. Dorothy’s legacy extends to her grandchildren, Rachel and Billy, who brought her much pride and joy. Among her closest bonds was that with her sister, May Wiggington, who survives her and shares in the treasured memories of a lifetime of sisterhood. Dorothy is preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Rogers, parents Edward and Mary, her sister, Florence Tremski, and brother, Edward Guyer, all of whom held special places in her heart and whose memories remained dear to her throughout her life.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home, located at 406 E Main St, Riverhead, NY 11901. Visitation will be held on July 20, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and again from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a prayer service beginning at 8:00 PM. The burial will take place on July 21, 2026, at 10:00 AM at East Quogue Cemetery, 1 Cemetery Rd, East Quogue, NY 11942. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home by 9:30 AM.
