Edilberto C. Saqueton M.D.

Dr. Edilberto C. Saqueton (Eddie) passed away peacefully on June 30, 2023, two weeks after celebrating the 60^th Anniversary of his wedding to his beloved wife, Helen. He was born on November 8, 1933, in Kawit Cavite, Philippines to Angel and Felicidad Saqueton. He graduated from the University of Santo Tomas, Manila, Philippines in 1958 with a Doctor of Medicine degree, and completed his Internal Medicine residency training at Coney Island and Brooklyn Hospitals in New York City. During his Internal Medicine career, he cared for patients in the Philippines and New York City, ultimately working as a staff physician at HIP North Babylon until his retirement in 1995.

We will remember him as a loving and devoted husband and father, caring community physician, avid gardener, expert carpenter, all-around DIYer and lifelong New York Yankees fan. He was the last surviving sibling of his generation, “The Magnificent Seven” Saqueton brothers and two Saqueton sisters. We love you, and you will be in our hearts and our memories always.

Edilberto is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Felicisimo, Jose, Antonio, Valentin, Jaime, and Angelito, and sisters Concepcion and Maxima. He is survived by his wife Helen Prado Saqueton M.D., his son Robert John Prado Saqueton M.D. and son-in-law Kenneth Alfred Jones, and his daughter Pamela Anne Saqueton M.B.A.
