Edward G. Centrella

On Sunday, January 30, 2022, Edward Centrella, loving husband and father of two children, passed away at age 60.

Eddie was born on January 11, 1962 in West Hempstead, NY to Cosmo and Dorothy (Stilwell) Centrella. Eddie attended West Hempstead High School and was employed as an Oil Burner Technician. He met his wife Toni Anne at the age of 15, and they were married on November 17, 1985. They raised two beautiful daughters, Victoria and Ashley.

Eddie was an active member of Omega Gamma Delta and loved attending events throughout the years with his fraternity brothers by his side. He was a die-hard Mets and Rangers fan and loved watching football on Sundays with his wife by his side. However, Eddie’s greatest joy in life was his family. He was known for his sense of humor, loyalty and warm, compassionate spirit.

Eddie was preceded in death by his father, Cosmo, his mother, Dorothy and mother-in-law Lenore. He is survived by his wife of 36 years Toni Anne and his two children Victoria, (Eric) and granddaughter Allana, and Ashley (Sam), his three brothers, Daniel, William and Michael, as well as his father-in-law Frank.

Services will be held on Wednesday, February 2nd from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM, and Thursday, February 3rd from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM with a service at 8:00 PM.
