Frank Joseph Capuano

March 31, 1958 - April 18, 2026

Frank Joseph Capuano was born March 31, 1958 in Astoria, NY to Frank and Rose Capuano. 

Frank is survived by his beloved daughter Nicole Lynn. She will follow his legacy to love life and laugh with friends as often as possible. Frank moved to Deer Park with his family where he graduated high school. He was an avid fast pitch softball player and could steal bases like no other member of the team. He worked as a tool and die CNC operator at Stimpson Co. and then at Festo Inc. for 30 years. When the company relocated to Ohio , he transferred and purchased a home in Morrow, where he lived for almost 10 years, making many friends who became a second family to him. Here he was able to find great people to regularly play golf with, tournaments and weekly tee times and far more laughter than actually playing. No matter where he was or what was happening in his life the facts remained; to know him was to love him. 

After a sudden diagnosis of glioblastoma in 2024, he moved to Leland, North Carolina to be near his daughter. They traveled, played golf, fished, and lived every day laughing and making memories, rooting for the Yankees, even when it was tough. Nicole took care of her father every day until his death on April 18, 2026. 

Frank was predeceased by his parents and older sister, Patricia. He is survived by his younger sister, Joann, brother-in-law James Lengefeld, niece Brianna and nephew Michael, his Aunt Anna Romano and many loving cousins and extended family. 

Friends and family are welcome to attend a memorial service at Mangano Funeral Home in Deer Park on Wednesday, May 6th from 4-9 pm.
