Born to Selim and Naima Cohen on September 2, 1934, in Baghdad, Iraq, Frederic's journey was marked by dedication, intellect, and an enduring commitment to his family.

Frederic earned his doctoral degree, reflecting his profound commitment to education and lifelong learning. His professional career was notably spent as a financial analyst with L.F. Rothchild in New York City, where his expertise and acumen greatly contributed to the financial sector.

Frederic’s life was a testament to perseverance and the value of knowledge, qualities he carried from his early years in Baghdad to his impactful life in the United States. Throughout his career and personal endeavors, he exemplified integrity, wisdom, and a thoughtful approach to both his profession and those around him.

He is survived by his devoted sons, Timothy and Nick Cohen, who carry forward his legacy with pride and admiration. His cherished sister, Ovadia Cohen, also survives him, sharing in the loss of a brother whose presence was a source of strength and inspiration.

A burial service to honor Frederic Cohen’s life will take place on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 12:00PM at Cutchogue Cemetery, located at 30535 Main Road, Cutchogue, NY 11935.
