Grace Barila

Grace Barila, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on April 26, 2025, in Deer Park, New York. She was born in Italy and carried the richness of her cultural heritage throughout her life. Grace dedicated many years of her professional life to Esteé Lauder cosmetics, where she worked diligently as a return clerk. Her commitment to her work and her vibrant spirit left an indelible mark on those who knew and worked alongside her.

Grace was the beloved wife of the late Theodore Barila, and they were married over 39 beautiful years.  She is survived by her cherished family: her daughters, Mildred (Frank) Pipia and Joann (Vincent) Clemente, and her son, Ted, Jr. (Deborah). Her legacy also includes her loving grandchildren, Nicholas and his wife Ali, Christina, and Lyndsey, as well as her adored great-grandchildren, Joseph and Mia. They will hold her memory close, remembering her warmth, kindness, and the love she bestowed upon them. Grace was predeceased by her parents, Giovanni and Carmela Bruno, who blessed her with a strong foundation that shaped the person she became.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation scheduled for Wedensday, April 30, 2025, at Mangano Family Funeral Home, located at 1701 Deer Pk Ave, Deer Park, NY. The first session of visitation will begin at 2:00 PM and conclude at 4:30 PM, followed by another session from 7:00 PM until 9:30 PM. A Mass celebrating Grace’s life will be held the following day, May 1, 2025, at Saints Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church, commencing at 10:15 AM.

Grace Barila lived a life rich in love and family, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
