Hertha E. Shank

Hertha E. Shank, born on August 8, 1928, in Brooklyn, New York, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025, in Southampton, New York. She was a beloved mother and grandmother, whose life was characterized by her deep love for family and friends.

Hertha is survived by her son, Robert Shank, and his wife, Christine Kadien  &  Daughter Christine Flaherty, and her husband Michael.

 She cherished her role as a grandmother to Kerri, Sean, Tyler, and Nina and great grandmother to Shea, who will forever carry her spirit in their hearts and memories.

Hertha's life journey was marked by her kindness, warmth, and the positive impact she had on all those who knew her. Her devotion to her family was evident and her legacy will continue through them.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Hertha’s life and legacy at the Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home located at 406 E Main St, Riverhead, NY. Visitation will take place on December 11, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a Prayer Service at 6:00 PM. Her burial will be held on December 12, 2025, at 11:30 AM at Pinelawn Memorial Park, 2030 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY.

Hertha E. Shank will be profoundly missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved and who loved her.
