Horst A. Danielsson, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2025, at the age of 96. Born on August 26, 1928, in Hamburg, Germany to his parents Werner and Käthe. Horst made his way from Germany to the United States in search of a better life for him and his family. After time Horst was able to help his parents, and two brothers arrive in the United States.
Not long after getting settled here he meet his wife, Inge. After three or four dates they decided to be married. Horst was in his Army uniform when the wedding took place. The honeymoon was a movie at Radio City, a night in the Waldorf and then back to camp.
Horst loved his work. He designed and built many of the Church interiors in New York for decades. Whenever he worked on anything, he was meticulous and held his work to an incredibly high standard.
He instilled in his children the principals of fairness, integrity and self-confidence. Horst, along with Inge, taught us the value of hard work and patience.
He enjoyed the outdoors. He was an avid camper, hunter and fisherman. He took long trips to Canada with his children and his grandchildren. He ushered his three boys through the Boy Scouts, where he taught his camping skills to countless Scouts.
He was a kind and caring individual who the loved the time spent with his family. Horst adored his late wife, Inge, whose spirit and love accompanied him even after her passing.
Horst is survived by his devoted family, who will forever carry his legacy in their hearts. He leaves behind his children; Werner and his wife Catherine Danielsson, Jane and her husband Alfred Lozito, Walter and his wife Susan Danielsson, and Peter and his wife Barbara Danielsson. The warmth of his love extends into the lives of his ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, who will remember him as the gentle soul who embraced them with open arms and heartfelt stories.
