Irwin Freeman

Irwin Freeman, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on June 22, 2025, in Glen Cove, New York, at the age of 83. Born on October 16, 1941, in the Bronx, New York, Irwin was a dedicated professional who devoted over 35 years of his career to serving the Upjohn Company, which is now recognized as Pfizer. His work was characterized by a commitment to excellence and an unwavering passion for the field.

Irwin's educational journey culminated in a Bachelor's degree, a foundation that served him well throughout his career. He was respected among his peers and left an indelible mark within the industry, fostering both professional achievements and personal relationships that would last a lifetime.

Irwin is survived by his beloved family, including his sons Howard Freeman and his wife Jeri, and Brian Freeman and his wife Elena. He was a proud grandfather to Eric, Brett, Michael, and Bella, who will carry forward his legacy. Also grieving their loss is his brother, Mark Freeman, and his wife Fran. Irwin was predeceased by his beloved wife of 58 years, Kay Freeman, whose love and companionship shaped his life; his sister Mindy Freeman; and his parents, Nathan and Beatrice Freeman. Each of these individuals played a significant role in shaping who he was, and their memories will continue to resonate with those who knew him. His beloved dog Wesley will also miss his constant companion, further highlighting the warmth and connections he built in his lifetime.

A Prayer Service in honor of Irwin Freeman will be held on June 25, 2025, at Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home in Riverhead, New York, commencing at 11:00 AM and concluding at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at the United Synagogue Cemetery in Calverton, NY, where Irwin will be laid to rest.
