Jean Calano, born on September 11, 1924, in Brooklyn, has peacefully passed away on June 1 2024. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Jean survived by her loving husband of 75 years, Samuel. She is also survived by her devoted daughter, Marianne D'Arienzo her husband Richard, and son, William. Jean leaves behind three grandchildren; Richard, Daniel and Travis and one cherished great-granddaughter Gianna.
During her life, Jean touched the hearts of many with her kindness and warm spirit. Her presence brought joy to those around her, and memory will forever be treasured by all who knew her.
The services to honor and celebrate Jean's life will take place at Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home in Deer Park, NY. There will be visitations on June 6, followed by a viewing on June 7. A Mass will be held at Saints Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church before the burial at Calverton National Cemetery.
Jean Calano will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for the love and light she brought into the lives of those around her. May she rest in peace.
