John DeGregorio, PhD, a distinguished Regional Director and cherished member of his community, passed away on May 22, 2026, at the age of 94. Born in New York, NY on April 24, 1932, John lived a life marked by dedication, intellect, and an enduring commitment to those around him.

Throughout his esteemed career as a Regional Director, John demonstrated remarkable leadership and vision, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends alike. His academic achievements, culminating in a PhD, underscored his relentless pursuit of knowledge and excellence.

John's life was deeply rooted in the values instilled by his late parents, Frank and Rose DeGregorio. Their legacy lived on through John's own generosity and kindness. He is survived by his beloved partner, Shirley Bart, who stood steadfastly by his side, providing unwavering love and support. He also leaves behind his niece, Anita Visone, who treasured her uncle’s wisdom and warmth.

A visitation to honor and remember John's life will be held on May 26, 2026, at Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home, located at 1701 Deer Park Avenue, Deer Park, NY 11729. The visitation will take place in two sessions, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and later from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. These moments of reflection will provide family, friends, and all who knew him with the opportunity to pay their respects and share cherished memories.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on May 27, 2026, at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Roman Catholic Church, 1750 Deer Park Avenue, Deer Park, NY 11729. The Mass will commence at 11:15 AM and conclude by 12:15 PM, celebrating John's faithful spirit and the profound impact he made on those around him.
