John Vincent O’Halloran, Jr., born June 19, 1936, passed away peacefully at his home on March 21, 2026, in North Babylon, New York.
John was raised in Brooklyn, New York. He was a graduate of St. Leonard’s High School and continued his education at Suffolk County Community College.
A veteran, John honorably served in both the United States Army and the Air Force Reserves. His commitment to serving others continued throughout his career as a New York City police officer.
John was deeply religious and devoted to his Catholic faith, which guided his life. His faith was a source of strength, shaping the way he lived.
John is survived by his three children: Elizabeth Walters (William) of Colorado, John O’Halloran of Georgia, and Gregory O’Halloran (Beth) of Virginia. He is also survived by his six grandchildren: Emily Clark (James), Mary Florencio (Raphael), John O’Halloran, James O’Halloran, Thomas O’Halloran, and William O’Halloran; and his two great-grandchildren, Charles Clark and Francesca Florencio. He was preceded in death by his parents, Martha and John O’Halloran, and his siblings, Martha and Thomas O’Halloran.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered. May he rest in peace.
