June Tonne, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on January 27, 2024 in Sayville, NY at the age of 94.  She was born on October 16, 1929, in Brooklyn, NY. James and Caroline Breen, June's parents, provided her with a nurturing and loving upbringing. They instilled in her the values of kindness, compassion, and resilience that she carried throughout her life. James and Caroline's guidance laid the groundwork for June's success and the remarkable woman she became.

June graduated from high school, recognizing the importance of education in one's personal growth and development. Her thirst for knowledge never waned, and she continued to seek opportunities for intellectual enrichment throughout her life. June had a fulfilling career working in banking for Jamaica Savings Commercial. Her dedication and expertise in the field earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues and clients alike. June's commitment to her work was evident in everything she did, and she made a positive impact on those she served throughout her career.

Family was at the center of June's world. She shared a deep and loving bond with her husband Arthur Tonne, who preceded her in death. Together they built a strong foundation for their family filled with unconditional love and support.  June is survived by her devoted daughter Linda T. Jarmel. Linda was not only June's daughter but also her dear friend. The bond they shared was unbreakable and touched the lives of everyone around them. June was immensely proud of Linda's achievements and cherished every moment spent together.  June was a doting grandmother to four grandchildren who brought immeasurable joy into her life. Her love for them knew no bounds, and she took great pleasure in watching them grow into remarkable individuals. She adored each grandchild wholeheartedly and created lasting memories that will be treasured forever. She showered her six great-grandchildren with affection and delighted in every opportunity to spend time with them.  She is predeceased by her son, James Tonne.

A visitation to honor June's life will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home located at 1701 Deer Pk Ave, Deer Park, NY. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects and share their cherished memories of June during this time.  On Friday, February 2, 2024, at 11:00 AM, a burial service will take place at Calverton National Cemetery, located at 210 Princeton Boulevard, Calverton, NY. It will be a moment of reflection and a time to say one final farewell as June is laid to rest.

June Tonne leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to have known her. She will forever be remembered for her unwavering devotion to family, her tenacity in achieving her goals, and her boundless capacity for love.

May we find solace in the cherished memories we hold dear and take comfort in knowing that June has found eternal peace.
