Karen Dellavecchia

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Karen Dellavecchia, who departed this life on June 19, 2026, in Babylon, New York.

On August 11, 1963, Karen’s journey began in Queens, New York  and ended in Babylon, New York. Throughout her life, she touched the hearts of those around her with her gentle presence, steadfast kindness, and strength. Her roots in Babylon ran deep, forming lifelong friendships and bonds that defined her character and inspired those fortunate enough to know her. 

Karen leaves behind her beloved husband Mark; she too leaves behind her three adored children: Steven, Nicholas and Danielle.

To honor Karens memory, family and friends will gather for visitation on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home, located at 1701 Deer Park Avenue, Deer Park, NY 11729. A Mass in celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church, 455 Hunter Avenue, West Islip, NY 11795. Karen will then be laid to rest during a burial service at Pinelawn Memorial Park, 2030 Wellwood Avenue, Pinelawn, NY 11735, at 12:00 pm.

While the chapter of Karen Dellavecchia’s time on earth has come to a close, her memory will remain deeply cherished in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be remembered with respect, gratitude, and enduring love.
