Kenric C. Espinet Jr., a devoted family man and cherished school bus driver, passed away on May 3, 2026, in Suffolk County, New York. Born on December 26, 1943, in Brooklyn, Kenric lived a life deeply rooted in love and dedication, especially toward those closest to his heart.
Throughout his years behind the wheel, Kenric ensured the safe journey of countless children, embodying a steadfast sense of responsibility and care that extended far beyond his profession. Yet, it was his unwavering love and commitment to his family that defined his true spirit. Those who knew him remember a man whose heart was vast and generous, a beacon of warmth and unwavering support.
Kenric's family remains a vibrant testament to his enduring legacy. He is survived by his beloved sister, Sandra; his stepchildren Todd, Denise, Barbara, Chris, and Billy; his nephews Gregory, Robert, and Michael; his niece Christine; cousins Hamil and Marsha; and great nephew Frank. The tender threads of his lineage are woven through the lives of his many grandchildren —, Carlton, Dylan, Callie, Nicole, Olivia, JoJo, Madison, Brook, Gianna, and Elora—and his great-grandchild Ezra, who he loved so dearly, each carrying forward the light he so lovingly kindled.
Though his parents, Kenric Sr. and Phyllis, have passed before him, their memory and the values they instilled live on vividly within Kenric’s life and the family he so dearly cherished.
A visitation to honor Kenric's memory will be held on May 7, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home located at 1701 Deer Pk Ave, Deer Park, NY 11729. This will be followed by a Mass at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Roman Catholic Church, 1750 Deer Park Ave, Deer Park, NY 11729, beginning at 11:15 a.m. and concluding at 12:15 p.m.
As friends and family gather to celebrate Kenric’s life, they will remember a man whose greatest joy was found in the presence of those he loved most. His memory will forever be a warm embrace, a sweet recollection of fidelity and kindness that will continue to inspire all who had the fortune of knowing him. Kenric C. Espinet Jr.’s legacy is not measured solely by the miles traveled or journeys made, but by the boundless love he sowed and the indelible mark he left upon the hearts of his family.
