Lillian Harrington

Lillian Harrington, a devoted wife, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on May 23, 2026, at the age of 78. Born on April 1, 1948, in Brooklyn, NY to her parents Anthony and Lillian. Lillian led a life marked by dedication, both to her career as a legal secretary and to those she held most dear.

Beyond her remarkable career, Lillian was most cherished for the love she had for her family. She was a woman who held her family at the center of her life, finding great joy and purpose in the relationships she nurtured. Her presence brought comfort and warmth to all who knew her.

Lillian is survived by her sister Patricia Castagna (and her late husband Vincent), her brother Michael DiRubbio (and his wife Catherine) DiRubbio, and her sister-in-law, Alice DiRubbio (wife of late brother, Vincent). She was a beloved wife to David and a dear aunt to five nieces and nephews who will remember her love and kindness and the special place she held in their hearts. 

A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 11:30 AM at Ss. Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church, 125 Half Hollow Road, Deer Park, NY 11729. An inurnment will follow immediately after at Pinelawn Memorial Park.

Lillian's life reminds us all of the profound impact one person can have through kindness, loyalty, and hard work. She will be remembered with great respect and affection by those fortunate enough to have known her.
