Louis Mottola, a dedicated lithographer and esteemed Army veteran, passed away on May 22, 2025, in Port Jefferson, NY, at the age of 95. Born on July 22, 1929, in New York, NY, Louis lived a life enriched by family, profession, and service to his country.
Throughout his career, Louis made significant contributions to the printing industry as a lithographer. His expertise and commitment to his craft were well regarded among his peers, demonstrating a work ethic that was steadfast and impressive.
As an Army veteran, Louis honorably served in the Korean War, where he displayed bravery and dedication to his country. His military service was a source of pride for him and his family, reflecting his deep sense of duty and love for his nation.
Louis is survived by his sons, Raymond Mottola (Beloved Wife, Barbara), Daniel Mottola, Kenneth Mottola (Diane), Thomas Mottola (Jeanne), and Gregory Mottola (Susan), as well as his daughter, Elizabeth Yengle (John). His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Lauren, Cassandra, Thomas, Bryan, Michael, Miranda, Scott, Judy, Joseph, Adam, Matthew, Kyle, Andrew, and Gianna. Louis was also a proud great-grandfather to Allison, Joseph, Julia, Josephine, Alexander, Brandon, Sabrina, Francesco, Estesca, Finley, Jesse, Luca and Alexander Louis, whose lives he touched with love and wisdom. Louis was preceded in death by his parents, Saverio and Maria Mottola, his beloved wife, Rosary Mottola, as well as his cherished grandchildren, Timothy and Sara Rose. His family's memories of him will forever be a source of comfort as they celebrate his remarkable life and the many moments they shared together.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Mangano Family Funeral Home of Middle Island, located at 640 Middle Country Rd, Middle Island, NY 11953. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held the following day, Thursday, May 29, 2025, at 9:30 AM at Saint Anthony of Padua R.C. Church, located at 614 Rte 25A, Rocky Point, NY 11778. Following the funeral mass, family and friends will proceed to Calverton National Cemetery, where Louis will be laid to rest.
Louis Mottola will be remembered not only for his accomplishments but also for the profound love he had for his family and friends. His spirit, values, and contributions will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
