Mastic Beach

It is with deep respect and heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Manita Fenelon, who left us on May 22, 2026, in Mastic Beach. Born on November 5, 1938, in Haiti, Manita lived a life marked by devotion to her family, community, and faith.

Manita was a woman of remarkable compassion and generosity. Known for her kind spirit, she often visited sick church members in the hospital, offering comfort and solace during their most vulnerable moments. Her love for her family was boundless, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored deeply. Manita’s joy in sharing extended beyond her time and presence; she was a great cook who loved to feed her family, nurturing them not only with food but with warmth and care.

A graduate of trade school, Manita applied her skills and knowledge throughout her life, always with a focus on doing her best for those she loved. Her nurturing nature and dedication made her a cherished pillar in her household and her wider community.

Manita is lovingly survived by her husband, Touchema; her daughters, Mozeline and Marie France; and her son, Rony. They carry forward her legacy of love and kindness. She is preceded in death by her parents, Justin and Jermilia, to whom she was deeply devoted.

The memory of Manita Fenelon will forever remain in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her. Her life of love, service, and dedication serves as a beacon of kindness and strength. May she rest in peace.
