Margaret Kelly, a beloved figure and devoted family member, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2026, at the age of 95. Born on July 24, 1930, in New York, NY, Margaret led a life marked by kindness, compassion, and a deep commitment to her loved ones.
Margaret dedicated her professional career as a bookkeeper for banking, where she demonstrated exemplary skills and a diligent work ethic. Her education culminated in a high school diploma, which served as a foundation for her professional accomplishments. However, it was her role as a mother and grandmother that brought her the greatest joy and a sense of purpose.
She is survived by her daughter and son in law Maureen and Patrick Feeney. Her son and daughter in law Brian and Nina Kelly. And her three cherished grandchildren. Kellie Feeney, Brian Kelly, Victoria Kelly all of whom will carry forward her legacy of love and strength. Margaret was known as a kind and caring individual, whose warmth and affection enriched the lives of those around her.
Margaret was predeceased by her husband, the late Donald Kelly, with whom she shared many wonderful memories. Their bond was a testament to the enduring nature of love and partnership. Margaret was also predeceased three of her children. Kathleen Kelly, Kevin Kelly, Susan Kelly.
Friends and family will gather to honor Margaret’s life and service during a Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church in West Islip, NY, on January 21, 2026. The service will begin at 9:30 AM, with an inurnment to follow at Calverton National Cemetery.
As we remember Margaret Kelly, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, strength, and a legacy of caring for others. Her spirit will continue to resonate within her family and the many lives she touched.
