Margaret M. Verderber

Margaret "Margie" M. Verderber, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on October 22, 1945, in Ridgewood, Queens, Margaret lived a life defined by her caring nature and deep love for her family.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Chariese (Paul) Faglione, and her son, John (Linda) Verderber. She was a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren and was greatly cherished by her four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Her family was the cornerstone of her life, and she devoted herself to nurturing and supporting them throughout her years.

Margaret is predeceased by her loving husband John J. Verderber (2002). She is also predeceased by her parents, Charles and Eleanor, her sister, Marilyn Maiforth, and her brother Raymond Potts. 

Margaret completed her education with a high school diploma, but it was her compassion and warmth that truly defined her character. Her ability to connect with those around her left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Visitation for Margaret will be held at Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home, located at 1701 Deer Park Avenue, Deer Park, NY 11729, on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM and again from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. A Mass in her honor will take place on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Saints Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church, located at 125 Half Hollow Road, Deer Park, NY 11729, starting at 9:15 AM.

Margaret M. Verderber will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love and care will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
